Maarit Korhonen

I am a contemporary artist, painter and longtime music maker from Finland, Espoo.
Nowadays I mostly paint abstract paintings. My paintings are a blend of line and shape, meticulously arranged to evoke a sense of rhythm and flow. I often use layered colors to add depth and atmosphere to my work. To my figurative works I often infuse touch of humour. I find inspiration for my work from everyday life, people, music, rhythm, dance, movies etc.
