Maha Al-Zahrani

Maha Al-Zahrani is a Saudi female artist originating from the Southern lands of The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Maha is an interdisciplinary artist with a foundation in oil painting, where she has over seven years of experience in realism and impressionism. Her diverse practice also explores cubism, surrealism, fauvism, and other significant art movements. Maha's creative exploration expanded significantly since joining the BFA program at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) in 2022, leading to work in ceramics, installations, fibers, woodworking, and metalwork.

Born in Dhahran, Eastern Province of The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Maha established herself as an oil painter in Jubail Industrial City. Her 2020 #2020PaintingChallenge demonstrated her versatility and garnered recognition, including being featured on Saatchi Art. Maha's work has also been exhibited with the Misk Art Institute.

Prior to her full-time focus on art, Maha earned a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences and gained valuable professional experience in IT, communications, and management support. This background informs her artistic approach and provides transferable skills valuable to her creative career.
