British painter Makhdooma Mallhi was born in London in 2000. From an early age, she developed a love for painting and drawing. She completed her Art and Design Foundation Studies at Loughborough University, in 2020 and is progressing onto Fine Art BA (Hons) degree at Loughborough. She is a photo realist Artist, who loves to paint sweet wrappers and packaging with vibrant and intense colours. She initially takes hundreds of photographs of confectionary items, selecting the strongest images and works from them. She works on large canvases in oil paint to show the detailed wrappers that provide shine and reflection. Her paintings take several weeks or months to complete due to the level of detail that goes into one of her paintings. Her paintings are full of bright and energising colours, bringing back a nostalgic feeling of her childhood sweets and chocolates.
