Eva Malts

Eva Malts (Evgeniya Maltseva) works in the style of expressionistic realism.
Expressionism is one of the directions of the twentieth century, not only defining for its evolution, but related to the reformation of views on sacred and spiritual issues in art. Eva shows a slice of the state of mind of a modern person through visual images. She is a powerful draftsman who has enormous academic skills, but does not stop there, she goes further into the content and development of the form. Eva Malts works with the human soul and embodies her search, discoveries, internal psychological and energetic essence through the image of the body. She describes the condition, living life through the flesh.
“I am an artist who works with a “problem” as a major theme. Through art I want to repair the broken details of life. Now I am focusing not on criticism of society, but on sympathy. In my art, I want to talk about really important things happening in this world“.

2012 Laureate of Petrov-Vodkin Award for the innovations in academic art, Moscow. 2013 Laureate of Tsereteli Award, Moscow.
2015-2020 Scholar of Russian Government.
