Tom Baker

I truly believe that God is our Creator, and that He is the artist of this world. In order to get to know an artist, we must spend time with their work. Therefore, I draw inspiration from spending time out in God's creation, and do my best to share His creation through my landscape and nature photography. I believe it's all by design, as it's too perfect to be an accident and everything is done unto His glory.

I was born December 27, 1979, Minneapolis, Minn., USA. I got into photography when I took time off from college (University of Montana) and went to work on a three-masted schooner called the Victory Chimes in Rockland, Maine. My dad gave me an old Nikkormat FTN to document my experiences while sailing around the Penobscot Bay, and I fell in love with photography. After I was finished with the sailing season, I returned to the University of Montana to study photojournalism.

Since 2007, I've worked as a freelance photographer based in Minneapolis, Minn. While photojournalism is my primary vocation, I enjoy exploring my creative side through nature, landscape, and urban photography.
