From charcoal drawings to acrylic paintings, Marco Romero’s eclectic practice explores the relationships between visual arts and literature, like poetry and novels, using the human body, soul, animals, the universe, and ancient Mexican art as his subjects and inspiration.
Until 2022, Marco Romero worked as a software engineer, but he realized he wanted to pursue a career in art. He went on to study through practical experience, online courses, and self-learning studying the works of the great old masters as his teachers.
So far, Marco Romero has only two solo exhibitions, both in 2023 in his small town of Tehuacán, México. His first show was at the hall of the local mall and his second show was at his old high school.
