Maria Angeles Planas Ulibarri

"Art can only be learn by observing as much as possible, learning the good, the bad, and the regular" by the Metropolitan Museum Director and "Learning by doing" by Fran Lloyd Wright; are the philosophies that can help us understand the path that Maria Angeles Planes Ulibarri led from the theory of art to its practice.

From a very early age she had walk the greatest museums in different continents, from New york's Guggenheim to the Centre Pompideau in France, among many others. This experience together with her studies in Art History and The Practice, Conservation and Lighting of Art pieces in museums, has allowed her to have a direct and emotional contact with art, and from that developes her sensitivity for the diferent pictoric styles.

Influenced by the second vanguards of the 20th Century, as well as the various styles within the abstract expressionism, we can see through in some of her paintings a glimpse of Informal Art. Maria Angeles creates as a result, paintings full of energy, with a great domain of color in which we can also appreciate an intelectual component.
