Art is not supposed to be perfect – it’s supposed to be bold. Powerful. Present.

I started painting in a time when I needed days for myself. It gave me just that: time. Seconds, minutes, hours of silence and colour – when there was no one there, no one was talking, no one was moving. It was just silence. Painting made me realize I needed that, above all.

I was never a very `colorful` girl, to be precise. Funny how art makes you discover things about yourself, isn’t it? I have a very good friend, an amazing professional artist, and he was the one who noticed this in the first place. And he told me something: `You know, good art, true art is never about knowledge or rules, or shapes, colors or perspective. True art is about giving something. In good art, you can not lie. You can show anything you want to the world, you can say anything you want, but at some point, on that canvas, the real YOU will appear. This is what makes art good: a piece of your soul.`

So art is more than a way to express yourself. It’s a way to discover yourself. Today, I am still discovering, still searching, still loving this amazing journey. It’s not even about a destination! At every point, at eve...
