Maria Stadnik

Born in Moscow in 1996, now live and work in Georgia.
Landscape painter, graphic artist.

My passion for the printmaking technique of engraving began when I entered the Academy. In six years I have mastered linocut, copper engraving and monotype. I was lucky enough to have good mentors who taught me and inspired me all the way.
In the focus of my interest is memory and nostalgia. Landscapes are the most attractive and close genre to me. With its atmosphere, it best conveys the mood and state of the artist. I enjoy depicting spaces devoid of people. Rural and industrial buildings become the main characters of my works. I often turn to northern motifs in terms of architecture and color.

For the last year I have been working mainly in monotype. I fell in love with this technique and created about 100 works in it.

Since January 2022 I have been taking courses in the laboratory of Alexander Brodsky «Architecture through etching».
From 2014 to 2020, studied at the Moscow State Stroganov Academy of Design and Applied Arts at Department «Art of Graphics». Graduated in 2020 with a red diploma, received the gold medal of the Academy of Arts for the best thesis.
