Matteo Ferretti

MF was born in Parma in 1976. He graduated from the Art Institute in the same city. Since 2000 he has
exhibited in various national and international galleries and has worked in cities such as Paris, London,
Dusseldorf, Berlin, Miami, Sao Paulo, Moscow and Dubai.
He has collaborated with organizations such as Henkel of Dusseldorf, Bobst of Lausanne and for three years
with Louis Vuitton in Paris in the "Moai travel of light" project.
In 2005 he made a solo exhibition at the renowned Stelline Foundation in Milan from which he took his
official listing.
He participated in the 51st and 53rd Venice Biennale with the artist Marco Nereo Rotelli.
In 2008 he started a conceptual research called “Brain, thinking energy” and founded the collective
Brainhaus.
This research led Ferretti to the 2010 Beijing International Art Biennial and in 2013 to "New Narrative for
Europe", a congress of the EU Commission in which President Barroso brought together artists,
intellectuals and scientists to discuss the future of Europe in general.
He lives and works in Parma, Washington and Dubai.
