Matteo Lo Greco was born in Sicily in 1949.
After graduating in Political Science at the University of Palermo, he moved to Lisbon, Portugal, to study at the Academy of Fine Arts.
Pupil of the portuguese sculptor Antonio Duarte and the painter Hilario Teixeira Lopes, became “Official Member” of the National Society of Fine Arts of Portugal.
The Museum of Contemporary Art in Mirandela, in 1982, opened with his expositions; his works still belong to the standing collection of the Museum.
He took part in many collective and individual exhibitions in Italy, United States of America and Europe, especially in France, where he entered the tradition of the Paris’ showrooms (MAC2000, Gran Palais).
In 1999 he received the Silver Medal of the City of Palermo.
In July 2004 an individual exhibition of Matteo Lo Greco took place at the Ca’ Pesaro International Modern Art Gallery in Venice, entitled “L’ Aoristico – Sculture e disegni di Matteo Lo Greco”.
Since 2005 he is the Founder and President of the Association Artisti Spa+A .
