Melinda Borysevicz is an Italian-American figurative artist currently living and working in rural southern Italy. Having been active for many years in Savannah, Georgia’s vibrant creative scene she travelled on a whim to a village not too far from her ancestral home in the region of Campania. The intention to spend “a couple months away” has turned into a decade after Borysevicz simple stayed to continue to paint.
Borysevicz received a BFA in Painting from Savannah College of Art and Design (Savannah, GA) magna cum laude. Her work was selected for Manifest Gallery’s International Painting Annual as well as for Figurativas 19 at the European Museum of Modern Art in Barcelona, where she has previously exhibited. She has also exhibited at the Museo Pablo Sarrano in Zaragosa Spain, the RJD Gallery in New York, Abend Gallery in Colorado, and numerous locations in Georgia, Virginia, Ohio, Texas, and Italy. She teaches painting workshops on the portrait, the figure, and the landscape en plein air.
