Meagan Murphy

I'm infatuated with painting and drawing, poetry and reading- music also. I read criticism and write about art in my blog on my website. I hold a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I not only studied, was on a pilgrimage also daily in the galleries there and around Chicago. I also studied at the University of Kansas school of Fine Art in the late 90's. I have had many excellent art history teachers and frequent lectures in Seattle. I attend Gage Art School and have had many excellent teachers and seen many friends make art, and my own oil painting teacher, Mr. Howe. A day spent on critique of others and myself are my favorites, to see a hard semester come to fruition. I am exiting my Ivory Tower of being only a student, I am entering the world of business through the local chapter of SCORE through the SBA of Seattle. I read voraciously because I understand it is a gift from heaven to have that opportunity.
