Melinda Babai

Hello, my name is Melinda.
I was born in Hungary in 1985, but I have been living in Scotland since 2016. My passion for art started in my childhood. I had great teachers, they taught me many techniques that I like to combine in one work. My favourites: collage, painting, lino-cutting.
I am a freelance artist and graphic designer. I create artworks for 20 years but just in 2024 started to sell them online.
I like to apply different materials on the surface therefore I collect all sorts of paper, plastic, textile, buttons, rusty stuff which I can integrate into my artworks. In addition to brushes, sponges, woodsticks and my fingers also serve as painting tools. I prefer to use surfaces such as wood, plaster, cardboard, textile and wallpaper.
I mostly paint animals and female figures, but I have also created abstracts and landscapes. Also I paint and draw human and pet portraits for order.
I create all my artwork as if I were making it for myself.
