Melissa Renee

Melissa Renee () is a contemporary resin artist creating paintings, wallpaper murals, textiles, wall tapestries, and rugs. Growing up between two worlds, she was shaped by country living in the South, and sunny days spent at the beach in Southern California. The ocean captivated her heart, inspiring the name fiery for deep blue. Her love of the water is expressed in her ocean inspired resin paintings on wood panels. It is the quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air” that guides Melissa’s artistic expression.

Although innately artistic, Melissa was formally trained in 2014 at the University of Central Arkansas and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2019. She is self-taught with working with resin.
