I enjoy painting when the light plays on the surface of water. I follow the rhythmical movement of the waters revealing colors. I paint as mapping time and exploring the spaces between light.
Since 1980, I have been painting the lakes, rivers and streams of the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson River Valley. Following in the footsteps of the Hudson River Artists, I celebrate and wish to preserve our environment. I feel that by painting the colors of the water of rivers and lakes I'm also keeping a record of Climate Change.
