Michael E. Gardner

Born and raised in the Chicagoland area, I studied under Diane Levesque and James McNeil Mesple from The Mythiopians group based in Chicago/Kenosha. My time with each of these artists has helped me to further my evaluation of the world and how my artwork creates the bridge between image and meaning.
Although I am based in surrealist and impressionist experimentation, my work varies between astrological landscapes and expressionist moments of symbolic life. Grounded from an attempt at perfecting fast paced self-portraits, my style is yet to be fulfilled completely.
I value the spiritual side of art as I involve ethereal motifs supernatural ideas into the work.
