Michelle Hillier

My name is Michelle Hillier and I am from Boardman, Ohio. I am a self taught artist and I specialize in custom, one of a kind, textured abstract art. I have been creating abstract art for about 25 years. Growing up I used to watch my father create murals and graphic designs for the local post office, bowling alley and businesses around our neighborhood. I can remember sitting for hours upon hours, watching in astonishment as his creations would come to light. I would watch and learn his techniques, the steadiness of his hands, and the brush strokes on his canvas as he created beautiful masterpieces. These childhood memories have inspired me to dabble in the genre of abstract art. I often come up with my compositions on a whim. I allow the visions I see and feel inside my heart and soul flow from the paint brush onto my canvas. My paintings are made to allow others to interpret and perceive through their own perception.

I have a B.A. degree in Elementary Education, and Special Education Certification. I am highly qualified in the areas of Math, Science, Social Studies, and Language Arts.
I have been teaching in Akron, Ohio for the last 23 year and currently teach 7th & 8th Grade Science
