Michael Pavão

I am proud, as well as privileged, to be able to trace my art lineage back to Claude Monet through his student Philip Leslie Hale and the student of Hale, my mentor, Will Barnet.
At the Art Students League of New York, I studied drawing with Marshal Glazier and, since 1966, a protege of Will Barnet as well as a member of the infamous "Smokeroom Gang", which included, among many others: Takeshi Kawashima, Yoshi Higa, Richard E. Schiff, Dionigi Cossu, Dan Francazio, Maryam Javaheri, Allan Simpson and Tom McCain.
