Michelle Eva May

Michelle Eva May is a U.K-based artist originally from Johannesburg, South Africa. She studied art at the National School of the Arts and later at Wits, where she refined her craft and developed her unique artistic voice. In 2004, she moved to London, working as a graphic designer before returning to her first love—art.

Michelle’s work delves into themes of identity, femininity, memory, and human connection. Drawing from her South African roots and her experiences living abroad, her pieces often feature a rich interplay of bold colours, layered textures, and symbolic imagery.
