My approach to realization of artistic work is personal and determined by inner parameters: by the need for exploring and self-analyzing, as well as by the need for analyzing the material, its physical and symbolic performances. The art is my tool for a deep communication with myself but also to communicate with others. It is of a great importance for me work to touch an observer in an emotional as well as in thoughtful way.
In a poetic sense works are determined by the analytical approach to the theme. The theme and the motive vary from work to work and from period to period. The themes that are always present are love, problem of the human existence and the borders between existence and nonexistence, relation between live and inanimate; real and unreal. Motives are sometimes simple, semiabstract forms, where I do an intensive research in relations between elements of a composition, while the others are realistic motives of the human body or just their reduced symbolic silhouettes.

Milica Prelić, visual artist was born in 1984 in Šabac. She has got Phd in Faculty of art in Belgrade where she has also got her Master degree in 2009 in the class of professor Jovan Sivački. Before she attended art studies in Faculty of art she had finished the School of artistic crafts in Šabac, department: conservator of cultural goods- gilder.
Since 2009 Milica has had ten solo exhibitions on the territory of Serbia and abroad (Faculty of art’s gallery in Belgrade, Modern gallery in Smederevo, Cultural centre’s gallery in Rakovica, Youth center in Belgrade- stockroom 8, Gallery of SKC (Students’ cultural centre), New Belgrade, Serbian cultural centre, Paris, SULUJ gallery, Belgrade). She was the author of one exhibition of students’ works. She took a part in 50 group exhibitions, in Serbia and abroad (Poland, Germany, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Herzegowina). As one of authors of those group exhibitions she has been awarded three times and once during the studies in Faculty of art.
