Mustafa Shaheen

I remember traveling to the zoo with my family as a child. It was a hot day in Egypt and transportation was not easy. I complained about it. My mother told me that
anything good in life involves struggle. “Suffering is how you know you deserve it,” she said.

Mimicry and hard work is all I thought I’d ever need for success. “Understand the pattern and you will have your answer,” is what I tell myself when analytically
solving a problem. As I grow older, I’m realizing that there is more to making than just the use of your mind. Heart or spirit is often what’s asked of me and my first instinct in response is manifesting a persona that displays the desired quality. But it is not genuine. And I am caught.
