Mainly figurative at the beginning of her career, Myriam Andrew then experimented with abstraction. She then achieved a symbiosis between abstraction and
Figuration.
Figuration takes over, with singular shapes and colours. However, she does not abandon abstraction.
Her paintings and drawings question identity, society, the versatility of men, the place of women in society, slavery and anatomy. She makes caricatures, laughing and smiling to bring joy to the viewer.
She is passionate about Michelangelo Buonarroti, Kandinsky, Frida Kahlo, Henri Matisse, Kehinde wiley, Chéri Samba and J.P Mika.
Myriam Andrew's drawings depict little people, their humanity, their character, their attitude, their behavior in society in the face of life's circumstances.
His work is richly colored, using acrylics, oils, colored inks, felt-tip pens and collag
