Nadežda Stanković is a visual artist whose work delves into time, presence, and the quiet violence of transformation. Her paintings emerge through a layered process of construction and erasure — textured surfaces that hold traces, absences, and weight.
Originally trained as an architect, she integrates structural awareness with raw material sensitivity. Her works reject ornament and seek what remains after the surface is broken.
Born in Serbia and based in Mexico City, Stanković creates pieces that do not ask to be understood — they insist on being felt.
Master of Architecture, University of Belgrade, Serbia
Further artistic development through independent practice in Mexico City, Amsterdam, Moscow, and Istanbul.
