Nancy Horenburg

A Botswana resident of over 35 years, I reside and create at The Land in Mokatse Village. As a self taught artist, I love creating diverse items, from original watercolour artworks, greeting cards, book markers, terracotta sculptures, and handcrafted jewellery to vegan delicacies and baked and raw goodies.

On my Land, and in everyday moments, I find inspiration and creative ideas among the wafting breezes, the rustling leaves, the dry earth pathway that I walk barefoot upon, the tiny flowers that greet the new day, the azure skies, and the crimson sunsets.

I do my best to walk upon a path that embodies a philosophy of wellbeing and harmony, beauty and inspiration. I endeavour to share and inspire through art and craft, cooking, events and workshops.

I intend to achieve the moment and space where my life, my creations and art reflects a life in tune with Earth's song.

I am a self-taught artist. I love to learn from the books of my favourite artists and wander around the internet to get inspiration and ideas from creators that are similar to my style. Nature also gifts me with ideas that give me the inspiration and motivation to manifest into different forms.

I have had three solo watercolour paintings and two solo watercolour paintings and clay sculpture exhibitions in Gaborone. I also exhibit my artwork at various markets and at my Art at The Land events.
