Live and work in Bangkok, Thailand, she has been a painter since she received M.FA. and B.F.A in painting from Silpakorn University, Thailand. She is known for the figurative paintings which featured in the Thai movie ‘February’, shot in 2003 in New York.
Narissara has been constantly expanding her artistic skills to include other forms ranging from poetry to a book compiling her often unsettling thoughts and also working with street artists.
She was awarded the ‘Purchase Prize’ award from the 1st Bangkok Triennale International Print and Drawing Exihibition in 2003 and in 2006 she had the opportunity to be an artist in residence at Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont, USA.
In 2015, she explored her transition from painting to embroidery, and was awarded the 15th Silpa Bhirasri Creativity Grant by Silpakorn University. She has various and diverse approaches to her art; from drawing, painting and embroidery to sculpture and site specific work. She is a strong believer that when it comes to her art attitude is more important than the media she uses.
In 2019, she spent the second half of the year as artist-in-residence in Japan and France.
