Karoly Nagy

Karoly is a Vinkler-winning painter and graphic artist from the heart of Europe. He was recently awarded the City of Szeged's Cultural Award. He has also been recognized as a leading educator in the arts with the Educator's Award, the City Award as well as the distinguished Kolcsey Medal.

His contributions to the arts and cultural community in Hungary over the past 40 years has established him as a leading figure in the scene, with a reputation for being innovative, daring, yet remaining strong to his roots.

Karoly has taught drawing techniques, visual culture, media culture, photography, and painting techniques at various institutions in Hungary while maintaining his committment to his personal growth as an artist by regularly participating in exhibitions and art shows.

Starting in the 1990's, he has lead highly popular art intensive camps in Hungary.

He enjoys using oil and acrylic, painting with brush, manipulating imagery digitally and creating various graphical works using a combination of techniques and technologies.

He is currently the chairman of Szeged's Craftsman's Guild, and a longstanding member of the Hungarian Art Instructor's Association.

Karoly has shown his work at both national and international exhibitions, as well as private shows since the 80's.
