Nadia Molinari

I'm known predominately for photographing people, but I prefer to think of myself as an all around photographer. I love photographing all kinds of things, out on location and in the comfort of the studio.

To me, the fundamental approach of studying and understanding the subject and its relationship to light are exactly the same regardless if I'm shooting a person, object or landscape. For any photograph to be successful, it must tell a story. Whether I'm shooting commercial or personal work, my responsibility is to carefully craft that story.

I have worked full time as a freelance professional photographer since 1996, shooting a variety of assignments for a wide range of national and international clients – from advertising agencies, design firms, corporations, to newspapers and magazines. Over the years, my photographs have been published in numerous publications such as The Globe and Mail, National Post, The Financial Post, The New York Times, Barron’s, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Bild and Stern.

Experience and professionalism combined with a hard-work ethic, and never shying away from challenges, has allowed me to produce a body of work that I’m truly proud of, and which continues to evolve.

I graduated from Sheridan College, Applied Photography Program in 1992. In the four years that followed, I trained with a variety photographers who specialized in a number of photographic disciplines before eventually going on to form my own professional practice.
