Norman Esteban Gil Reyes

His artistic projects use the practice of photography, installation and performance to investigate the notion of authentic time and memorability. He seeks the construction of memorable images within communities and their cultural environments to invite the viewer to feel deep empathy. In this way he uses photographs of portraits and landscapes and sometimes accompanies them with ephemeral architecture and sound actions on the piano. It should be noted that all artistic projects are the product of research and laboratory activities that often integrate different communities.

Master in Plastic and Visual Arts from the National University of Colombia, Master in Plastic Arts and Graphic Designer. Teaching researcher. Currently, he works as a professor and leader of internationalization of the faculty of arts at the Antonio Nariño University where he received recognition and honorable mention for teaching excellence and good practices in internationalization.
He is categorized in Colciencias as an associate researcher. Since 2018 he has dedicated himself to developing research on research laboratories -Creation in
the arts, generating research products such as books, articles, presentations and advising on degree work recognized as meritorious.
He has participated in other research groups such as: EXIL_Platform for Poietic Production, GICA-Group for Research in Art Sciences-, Center for Specialized Studies 104 Local, Network of Artistic Residencies of the National University of Colombia and the Latin American Research Network- creation. He is currently a founding member of the Latin American Research-Creation Network RedLIC.
