Nathan Dean

Nathan Dean is an Atlanta fine art photographer whose images have been recognized worldwide for their strength and elegance. His photographs need no narrative, require no analysis; like poems - perhaps even haiku - they have a simplicity that instantly creates a vision in the viewer’s mind.

He fell in love with photography at the age of six, when his father gave him a Baby Brownie. From that day forward, while becoming a physics professor, dean, and university vice president, he also devoted himself to the art and science of photography.

Over fifty of his photographs have been purchased by collectors, and more than two hundred have been displayed in invited solo and juried gallery exhibits. They are now available through Saatchi as limited-edition museum-quality prints, signed and numbered by the artist, with a certificate of provenance.

Photography education:
He has studied photography with Arnie Zann, Margo Pinkerton, Jack Wild, and Rich Seiling; but he learned as a profesor that you haven't really learned a subject until you teach it. So for several years he has taught photography at both beginning and advanced levels.
