Bartolome Oliver-Ponsell

I was born in Spain, in the Mediterranean island Mallorca, where years later living there I had the honor of having as a neighbor my admired art teacher Joan Miró

In the 50s my father was hired to carry out various decorations, as an interior plaster craftsman, in various mansions of the then rich Caracas Venezuela.

At the time of the dictator Perez Jimenez, I went to the school of fine arts Cristobal Rojas at the age of 14, from 1960 to 1965

In 1977 after 8 years as manager of IBM in Venezuela I founded Avant-Garde, Custom design furniture store and Factory, leading a team of architects who designed high-end custom furniture, manufactured on demand in our company's factory.

I exhibited my artworks in Art Galleries in Sarasota Florida, in Palma de Mallorca Spain and in Caracas with great success, at that moment showing influence by Pollock, Van Gogh and Calder, by 2009 i did new images in the field of rhythmic pictorial art, using strident colors with distorted expressionist forms, always searching the way to capture new emotions that broke with all my Art experience
