Watson calls himself a minimalist, expressionist. Born in San Francisco, California he moved to New York City in 1996. Painting and drawing from his basement apartment on 83rd and 1st he quickly melded into the downtown art scene and joined Jack Light Gallery LES for his first group exhibition. His work is featured in Elle Decor Magazine Sept 2007 and New York Absolute Magazine Nov 2007
Drawing/paintings address societal hierarchy and or the daft didactic disciplines of the 21st Century.
School Of Visual Arts NYC, 2003 Painting courses under teacher Ira Richer. All through High School I majored in Architectural Drawing. My father Ray M. Watson was an Architect.
