Paloma Gomez

Paloma has a degree in Visual Arts from the University of Chile and a Master in Photography from the Polytechnic University of Valencia - Spain. His professional experience contemplates from 2001 to date 12 individual and 22 collective exhibitions, in spaces such as the Catholic University of Valencia, Imprevisual Gallery - Spain, Bondy Cultural Center of Paris, Museum of Contemporary Art Islip of New York, Mapocho Station Cultural Center of Santiago and Museum of Modern Art (MAM) of Chiloé. After living 8 years in Spain, she returns to Chile in 2013 and moves back to Santiago, participates in collective exhibitions, art residencies, and contemporary art fairs. She currently stands out as a teacher in the Art and Cultural Management career of Instituto Aiep, continues to develop specialized work in the cross-discipline and practical research of painting, drawing, and photography.

As a visual artist, my goal is to represent people and their habitat, creating a world that mixes the imaginary and the object being observed. Therefore, my work is figurative and abstract, a complex relationship between worlds and a constant search for new visual interpretations.
