I'm an artist who works primarily in drawing, mixed-media, and photography. I was born in New York, and lived most of my life in Manhattan and Los Angeles. I'm a self-taught photographer, and professional picture editor.
My passion for art is in multimedia - working in drawing, painting, and photography. I'm working on various projects that include drawing, pastel, oil painting, mixed-media, and photography. Themes are of family, friends, dreams, memories, nature, travel and fashion.
Artists that aesthetically influence my work, include, Hannah Hoch, Rene Magritte, Vincent van Gogh, Cezanne, and Gerhard Richter, as well as photographers, Eugene Atget, Brassai, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau, Andre Kertesz, and Man Ray.
I studied art at the School of Visual Arts, concentrating first in Fashion Illustration and then Fine Art. Then I specialized in Art History, completing a Bachelors Degree at Stony Brook University, graduating summa cum laude, and a Masters Degree at Goddard College.
My painting was included in the “American Painters in Paris” exhibit at the Palais des Congres, and a mixed-media piece, "Falling Man," was on display as public art at Stony Brook University, in New York. My photographs have been exhibited at the LA Art Show, in Los Angeles, New York’s Soho Photo Gallery, EXPOSURE, in Long Island City, New York, Art in Miami (SCOPE), Paris Street Gallery, Everett, Mass. (drawings), Perretti Italian Cafe, in New York, and Studio C Gallery, Los Angeles. My work is included in private collections.
