Paolo Sivilla

Paolo Sivilla was born on April 6, 1969. A self-taught artist, he felt the importance of color and stroke as a child, doodling and coloring any surface apparently available. Evolving he discovers the various possibilities of venting his imagination with the most orthodox pencils, markers, watercolors and paper, reaching then adolescence to remain "struck" by the black of the inks and the "chiaroscuro" in pencil.

He finally reaches the artistic turning point with the "discovery" of oil color. For years he painted with the aim of exploring, from the figurative to the abstract, not caring in the least of the "visibility" or looking for a recognizable stylistic figure. He then took part in a review of contemporary art in 2008 and subsequently made a solo show in April 2009.

Also, in the same year, he took part in a contemporary art competition having his work selected from among the finalists. 2014 comes, the year in which he feels the need to make a change, to establish the beginning of a new path, drawing on the technical maturity acquired over the years. After a second solo show in April 2014, in which all the works carried out until then are exposed, he devotes himself to a specific theme, synthesis of technique and thought. ...

Paolo Sivilla took part in the contemporary art exhibition "Volando con la Gazza Ladra", inspired by the work of Lele Luzzati, curated by the Satura Art Gallery association; he was a finalist at the XIV National Contest of Contemporary Art Saturarte 2009, contemporary art exhibition of the Satura Art Gallery association of Genoa, and he exhibited in the exhibition hall of the Palazzo della Provincia of Savona, in April 2009 and in April of 2014.
