Lolita Parekh

My name is Lolita and I am a Contemporary Painter.
I get my inspiration from things I see and hear and read. I have a very wide imagination and my subjects aren't always real. When I walk through the streets of London, I see invisible bridges that wizards cross, children running after pixies and men and women chatting to animals beside them. I paint many subjects and work in different styles.

To add to my -sometimes wild - imagination, I am also a strong believer of Achievement and Empowerment. Heroes may be flawed, but as I read somewhere before "perfect is boring" (I can't quite remember who said it, but thank you from the bottom of my heart for that). So, you may notice in my work that I create achievement through an idea or a story, a sense of Self-Belief and Greatness.

I am self taught in art but have a French baccaloreate in Literature and Languages. I also did a foundation course in fashion and design and now I'm studying a creative writing and journalism course.

In August 2016, I opened my Art shop for two weeks as a trial of getting "Art out there" in my local community. I learnt a lot there, which gave me the idea to give Art classes to kids locally which I did for a year.

On 03/01/2017, I exhibited at an estate agents, where I displayed my work for a month.
This exhibition was revolving around superheroes, and the woman body. There were various pieces of various sizes.
