RECOGNITION

Patricia McParlin, is an award winning British artist who lives and works in Wales. She studied at The University of Wales and The West Wales School of the Arts.

She has recently been selected as a member of The Royal Cambrian Academy.

Primarily a painter, she has also worked as a musician, writer and theatre practitioner.

Her work shows this cross-disciplinary influence, encompassing film, installation, sculpture and performance art.

She has exhibited widely and her work has been purchased by collectors, both nationally and internationally.

Patricia is currently concerned with the material nature of the painted surface ; colour, form, space, texture and the resonances that can arise from the alchemy of a response to materials.

Her multifaceted work takes its inspiration from music, poetry and the natural world to create unique abstractions.
