Pavlo Ponomarenko (aka Pablo Poe, b. 1979) is a contemporary Ukrainian artist specializing in Cubist and Hard-Edge Geometric Abstraction.
His work is a rigorous investigation into the Anthropology of the Human Condition, where he uses the language of geometry to analyze the complexities of human life and relationships. Ponomarenko deconstructs the subject—be it a figure, a friendship, or a simple scene—into a composition of pure, sharply defined geometric shapes and bold, vibrant color fields. The resulting paintings are structured, powerful, and emphasize the underlying architectural reality of emotion and dynamics, rather than just surface appearance.
Poe's aesthetic draws from the traditions of Cubism, Suprematism, and Concrete Art, translating these historical avant-garde movements into a modern, emotionally resonant visual vocabulary. His use of strong, clean lines and contrasting colors makes his work highly sought after for contemporary interiors and corporate collections.
