I started my profession as a self-taught artist, selling small landscape watercolors, then the characters came to live in these scenes. In various imaginary situations.

I think that the taste of stories, especially those of my culture, but not only, have conditioned a poetic vision, a little surreal with accents of nostalgia.

And I like the idea that we can, through "little painted theaters", visit our memory, a pay homage those who have gone before us. Adding some layers of poetry and tenderness...

A way to poetize the ancestors, ourselves, and make us feel more alive, through secular icons, joyful, unbridled, tender and why not, humorous. This is how I see my work as an artist today.

Self-taught artist, my culture is mostly from books and readings. The daily practice of my profession for 40 years has produced a slow decantation of what seems to me just to paint. I have no academic training, except for observing the work of other artists. I don’t think that a school can train people to be artists. Mastering a technique certainly, but from my point of view being an artist is first and foremost a matter of personal sensitivity, a way to belong to no norm, and a progressive liberation from being and its expression. So quite opposed to the concept of studies. Practice can largely replace this.

On the other hand, I believe that the taste of others, the pleasure of seeing a beautiful cartoon, a good comic strip, reading a novel that touches you, being moved in front of a canvas in a museum or a workshop, this is the trainer of the artist who sleeps in each of us.

1992-2007, solo exhibitions organised by "galerie de la place" and galerie Rauscher" in Paris and Strasbourg.

During this time, I hold my own gallery in Britanny, France, and present my paintings to visitors and customers.

In 2003, I present my paintings in Nha Thrang, Vietnam -my first exhibition in Asia- with some other britanny artists.

2007, I won a challenge, and present my first solo exhibition in Island Shangri-La hotel, Hong-Kong.

Thema of this event : women-garden and men-butterflies.

Since 2009, collaboration and permanent exhibition with States of the Arts gallery Hong-Kong and Ode to Art gallery, Singapore.

And more recently Lau Gallery, Jeongju (Korea), and Kyo gallery, Alexandria (USA).
