Jose Gregorio Leon

José Gregorio León (Venezuela, 1967). A petroleum engineer, he rekindled his passion for photography during his professional career. He has lived in Panama since 2011 and, since 2017, has begun developing photography from an authorial perspective. He primarily photographs objects, particularly technological objects, using macro photography. He graduated from the New York Institute of Photography, received a master's degree in photography from ES Design in Barcelona, and a master's degree from PHotoEspaña, Spain. He has taken workshops with Nelson Garrido, Erik Kessels, Aaron Sosa, and Erik Del Búfalo, among others.
He has participated in photography group exhibitions at the Museum of Contemporary Art, the International Cultural Center, and the Diablo Rosso gallery in Panama City. In 2021, he had a solo exhibition of the Silicon Valleys series at the Alliance Française in Panama.
