Elías Pinto Casanova

I am Elías Pinto Casanova from Mexico.
My first intention was to be an illustrator, but I turned towards the plastic arts when I realized the discursive possibilities and the freedom they offer to transmit an idea with all the subjective nuance oriented towards expressive purposes.

I am convinced that art is poetry applied to different disciplines, both of time and space, since its purpose is to make ideas attractive to the senses and at the same time they collect the feeling of a historical moment, therefore they are a chronicle of the subjectivity of an era, integral social heritage of humanity as it consciously or unconsciously collects the contributions of philosophy and science, forming a kind of trinitarian pillar of the material-intellectual progress of the species.
For this reason, I seek to capture from a mythical-poetic perspective the phenomena and events of my time, to translate visually supported by figuration and geometric abstraction to enhance suggestion, and that is why through this combinatorial capacity I address the possibilities of an idea in pictorial series.
