Ilze Preisa

I am a visual artist.
My creative practice includes painting, graphic art, sculptural works, and international multimedia projects in collaboration with other artists—including music and choreography.

My works reveal symbolic narratives inspired by nature, ancient mythology, and the world’s cultural heritage, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. I strive to create visual spaces where emotion, geometry, and intuition intertwine, inviting the viewer into a poetic dialogue between the visible and the invisible.

By experimenting with various techniques and materials, I aim to create exhibitions that are both visually unique and emotionally engaging.

Ilze Preisa is a Latvian artist who has developed her distinctive artistic style through studies at the Art Academy of Latvia (LMA) and the Berlin University of the Arts (HdK). She graduated with honors from LMA, earning both a bachelor's and a master's degree in art.

Her works have been showcased in over 40 solo exhibitions and 150 group exhibitions in Latvia and internationally, including in Melbourne, Berlin, Barcelona, and other cities worldwide.
