'Valéry van Leeuwen is a dutch artist based in the south of Holland. His work mainly exhibits Paintings and Sculptures. He is inspired by mysterious and alien stories of the unknown. He has a passion for searching and connecting elements together. The main topics that he expresses in his work are technology and nature but also time, space and architecture. His dream to make robots let him to dismounts old computers, clocks, radio's and other electronic devices, he re-uses there parts for constructing his own robotic sculptures, rackets and landscapes. The technical aspects in his work, specially in this paintings, show great detail for shapes and use of colours. His work relates to Industrial Art, Science fiction, -Steam-Trash- and -Diesel- Punk! Valéry is creating a world of it's own full of different experiments and solutions… Reconstructing and deconstructing the elements. > Dutch: 'Valéry van Leeuwen is een Nederlandse kunstenaar gevestigd in het zuiden van Nederland. Zijn werk vertoont voornamelijk schilderijen en sculpturen. Hij laat zich inspireren door de mysterieuze en vreemde verhalen over het onbekende. Hij heeft een passie voor het zoeken en met elkaar te verbinden elementen. De belangrijkste onderwerpen die hij uitdrukt in zijn werk zijn techniek en natuur , maar ook tijd, ruimte en architectuur. Zijn droom om robots zelf te maken hebben hem ertoe gedreven om oude computers, klokken, radio 's en andere elektronische apparaten uit elkaar te halen en de onderdelen opnieuw te gebruiken voor de bouw van zijn eigen robot sculpturen, rakketen en landschappen. De technische aspecten in zijn werk , speciaal in zijn schilderijen, tonen veel detail voor vormen en het gebruik van kleuren. Zijn werk heeft betrekking op Industrial Art , Science fiction , -Steam - trash en -Diesel- Punk! Valéry is een eigen wereld aan het creëren vol met verschillende experimenten en oplossingen...
