I am Lithuanian Artists’ Association Member and I was acknowledged by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania. I am a Lithuanian artist, creating in a wide range of artistic forms, such as illustrations, drawings, paintings, jewellery, stained glass and so on. In my artworks I tend to explore the inner aspects of human life put against the backdrop of the everyday. Living in an animal farm deep within the Lithuanian countryside, surrounded by velvet lakes and untamed woods, I draw my inspiration from nature, the local folktales and the fantasies they arouse. I graduated from the National School of Art and in 2008 I was awarded the Master of Arts by Vilnius Academy of Arts in Lithuania. Aurelija Kairyte-Smolianskiene creates aquarells, ink and oil on canvas paintings with dreamy images of flying people reaching for the sky. Her work is full of details portraying organic materials like grass, flowers, berries, leaves, fur, fish scales and bird feathers. The colours are very vibrant and lively. Aurelija’s paintings are vivid and colourful, very often with a woman or a girl figure in focus. Babies and centaurs, the astrological sign sagittarius, riders, unicorns and soldiers – all play their magical part in her colorful universe. Some of the people’s faces look sad, distressed or angry. The images often have beautiful animals: horses, foxes, cheetahs, wolves, deer, pisces, birds. She draws human faces with much detail. Her paintings are inspired by the Lithuanian countryside and nature. You might find many symbols within her art. Figurative and surrealistic images full of poetic and shamanic moods. Her semi abstract drawings are lively, detailed and organic, and the compositions and scenes are misty and surreal. ------------------------------------------------------ Don't hesitate to contact me: .artist instagram: aurelija.artist -------------------------------------------------------
