The multiple self portraits that flood my pieces exist in the theatrical landscapes set in my over-sized head. The distortion of the human form and the creation of outlandish exoskeletons fuse into a visual language depicting my hazy past and surprisingly humdrum yet contented present. The drawings primarily deal with the underbelly of gay life, existing drug free and being a mentally ill outsider in a world of normals. A past history of drug abuse combined with an unstable detachment from reality created an alienated man-child who lives in his sketchbook without the urge to venture beyond his apartment door.
