Megan Kelly was born in Asheville, North Carolina in 1987. She received her Bachelors in Fine Arts at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a specialization in Illustration in 2010. Megan works predominantly in painting, both large and small scale. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions with her smaller work and has also painted murals in Asheville, Miami, St. Pete, and Memphis. Megan’s current work focuses on organic, elaborate, and repetitive circular shapes that emphasize color and combine varying patterns. The simplicity of these basic elements becomes intricate and important for her when reproduced. Her work is meant to be comfortable, pleasurable, and unapologetically attractive. They are intended to be universally beautiful and easy on the eye of the viewer. Megan is currently working and living in Asheville, North Carolina.
