Rachel Van Balen

In 2006 I obtained my master-degree in painting, in the Netherlands, where I work and live. As a painter I'm inspired by cities and nature, by emotions and visual details. Creating an interplay between harmony and dramatic contrasts. Harmonious tensions made about by the controlled use of strong lines and colors, and a mostly abstracted figuration.
