Raphaella Milano

PERSONAL MOTIVATIONS OF THE ARTIST.
In response to the ever more pressing need for "Beauty" that today's frenetic world invokes with silent words that it can no longer pronounce, Raphaella uses oil painting as a way of expressing such beauty that when it is true it is "Divine".

Raphaella was born and lives in Milan to Milanese parents on January 6, 1967.
SHe began to draw with colored pencils and felt-tip pens from the age of 4
After classical humanistic studies Raffaella attended the IED, a school of high professionalism in the field of graphics. Immediately after, she attended a 3-years course to become a fashion designer, for fabrics, clothes and shoes. A profession that she has been doing until today, working at a high level of responsibility for brands distributed throughout the world.
At the age of about 30, happy as a fashion designer but not enough satisfied on a creative level, she attended private oil painting lessons, her dream, from a recognized artist and teacher from Brera, in Milan.
She learned the technique but the job absorbed all her time, therefore the activity as a painter will begin after several years, around 2012, so that the artworks are all very recent.

INSPIRATION OF SHAPES AND COLORS.
Raphaella has always appreciated impressionist, expressionist painting and a large part of pop-art.
Her inspirers are Monet, Gaudì, O'Keeffe, Man Ray, Keith Haring, Chagall, Arcabas.
The recurring themes in all of her works are BLOOD and WATER.
