I felt the need to work in the material world in addition to working on screen as the work of the graphic designer requires spending hundreds of hours in a completely digital environment, so I decided to create assemblage of sculptural pieces with recycled technological or domestic objects.

Working with physical objects, unlike graphic design where everything remains in virtuality makes me feel alive: tangible objects, metal, electronics or plastics, the use of tools and their noises, the smells of paint and the fact of staining hands or sometimes even cutting a finger (not on purpose!), all of this connects me to the real world.

I use simple geometries: squares and cubes, circles, 90 and 45 degree angles. I also normally stick to basic colors: pure reds and yellows, blacks and the natural color of the materials. In a way what I do is convert the 2D of my craft as a designer to real objects.

I am interested in working with recycled materials as an act of rebellion against the relentless obsolescence of objects. The task of disassembling disused computers or household items leads me to find interesting elements to recreate those objects with a new essence.
