- Rich Matheson // With sultry undertones of classic film noir, Rich Matheson’s work celebrates the eternal beauty of women and the confidence it brings. Loving the challenge, he explains "A landscape can take you somewhere wonderful, still life can be tranquil, but no subject is as challenging and gratifying as perfecting a human figure on canvas." // Rich's portraits are created with traditional oil paints on either canvas or gesso board. He has also experimented with non-traditional canvases such as glass and white plexi. // Rich has been a lifelong artist, but his formal education came from Madison College, receiving a degree in Applied Arts. He currently lives in McFarland, Wisconsin with his wife and daughters Drew and Sheyn.
